Back on breakfast radio

Chuffed to bits to be back on air on BBC Radio Leeds (at very short notice) presenting the breakfast show this morning, 6-10am 📻

We talked, amongst many other things, about Leeds West Indian Carnival and Leeds Festival. I was presenting the weekday breakfast programme in 1999 when the festival began at Temple Newsam. Yet it’s now more than 20 years since it moved to Bramham (and me so young!) …

I was in yesterday too operating the equipment while the fab Rima Ahmed was on an outside broadcast. Today I had to co-ordinate my mouth as well 🎙️

On a train to Scarborough now, picking up my planned trip to the Yorkshire County Cricket Club one day game with Durham, a tad later than originally planned 🏏

I reckon that the 3.30am alarm warrants a health food lunch of fish and chips with a lemon top chaser🍦 ⏰
